Team Setup & Baton Exchange Area – What You Need to Know

GPTMR15-6426-(ZF-8870-53246-1-002)

Teams
A team is composed of 2-5 runners. Teams may bring their own tent or canopies, provided that they do not exceed 10×10 feet.

Legs
All 5 runners will run the exact same loop.

Transition Area

The transition area is where incoming runners hand off the baton to the next teammate. Only outgoing runners are allowed inside this space, and it will be strictly monitored for safety and smooth exchanges.

Each runner’s bib lists their relay leg number, which helps staff confirm who may enter the outgoing runner zone.

To make it easier for teammates to find one another, each division is assigned a zone color. Outgoing runners should position themselves in the color-coded zone that matches their division.

The transition area will be clearly marked with colored flags, making each zone easy to spot. For your convenience, your team’s zone color will also match your baton color, helping both incoming and outgoing runners quickly identify the correct area.

Timing Concerns
Timing will start as soon as the first runner crosses the start line and will cease when the 5th runner finishes the race. The timing chip is attached to the baton.
