FAQ

Question: How do I start a team and have my teammates join?

Answer –

1. The team captain will register themselves for the Marathon Relay and set up the team on the first page of registration.
2. The team captain will pay the registration fee for the relay and is responsible for collecting payment from team members outside of our registration system.
3. Once the captain is registered and the team is set up the Captain can let their friends know the team is set up and that they can join the team.
4. For the remaining members, they will register for the Marathon Relay and will need to join the group/team that the Captain set up when registering.
5. Each team allows for 5 team members and once 5 members have registered the team will be set and will not allow anyone else to join that team.

Question: What is the last day to register online?
Answer – Relay: Online registration via RunSignUp closes on Saturday, June 1, 2024 at 11 AM PST or once we reach 185 teams whichever comes first. An online registration fee applies. Register ASAP because the race sells out every year.

Question: Is there same day registration?
Answer – Yes, for the 8K only, $65, we accept Venmo, Zelle, and cash only. No for the relay.

Question: Can I register my team during packet pick-up?
Answer – No.

Question: Can I purchase an extra short sleeve t-shirt?
Answer – Yes; on event weekend (inquire at sales booth) and on our Runsignup store after the event. Selection based on inventory in-hand. 

Question: Are the races chip timed?
Answer – Yes, there is a chip attached to each baton for the relay

Question: Where/when do I pick-up my packet?
Answer – Race packets (race bib/ timing chip, participant shirt, goodie bag) will be available for pick-up on Friday, May 31th from 3 PM – 6 PM. and Saturday June 1st from 11:00 AM – 4:00 PM at Road Runner Sports – Studio City. 12113 Ventura Blvd Studio City, CA 91604. Each team will have one packet.

Question: Do you have a race day packet pick-up?
Answer – Yes, however we strongly discourage it. If you will be picking up on race day then we recommend you arrive on-site before 6:00 AM to avoid large crowds and long lines. Please plan to pick-up your packet no later than 30 minutes before the start of the race to avoid any delay. We highly discourage waiting until race day to pick-up your team’s race packet! We will start the race on time and you risk the possibility of having the race start as you wait in line to get your stuff! 

Question: Who can pick up the team race packet/goodie bag ?
Answer – To ensure a registered participant receives event information and race materials (bib and souvenir t-shirt), only a person listed as a runner for the team can pick up. This will preferably be the Team Captain, but if they cannot then any other designated runner on the team can pick up. Please bring a photo ID. No ID, no packet pick-up. If your group has multiple teams, a designated runner from of the the teams may pick-up for the group. 

Question: Is there an address I can use for the start/finish line?
Answer – Relay: There is no physical address for the site. Nearest address is for the ranger station: 4730 Crystal Springs Drive, 90027. Look for race day signs directing you to the event.

Question: Will there be refreshments at the finish line?
Answer – Yes, there will be plenty of refreshments for all registered participants (don’t lose your race bib).

Question: Can I barbecue at Park Centre?
Answer – No, you are not allowed to barbecue at Park Centre. We will have food options from a food truck.
