Marathon Relay
A awesome team event that gets together a group of friends for a day of adventure and camaraderie. Teams of 2-5 people run a combined distance of 26.2 miles.
When: 7:10 a.m.
Where: Park Centre
Rules and Important Things to Know:
- Each team member runs or hikes a 5.25-mile course, starting and finishing on the Fire Rd by the entrance to the Merry Go Round parking lot.
- All team members run the same loop.
- Teams should have 5 people however smaller teams are allowed. Mixed teams of 4-5 people need to have at least two female members.
- All teams are allowed to bring their own 10 x 10 canopies / ez-ups / portable shelters.
- Teams may start to check-in and setup their own tents starting 6:00 am.
- Teams are able to bring their own food, snacks, etc.
- No alcohol is allowed in the park.
- Due to Department of Recreation and Park permit restrictions the Marathon Relay has a hard cap of 240 teams. There will be no wait list.
Cash Prizes:
- Open Men: 1st – $500
- Open Women: 1st – $500
- Open Mixed: 1st – $500
How to add a team to the Marathon Relay:
- The team captain will register themselves for the Marathon Relay and set up the team/division on the first page of registration.
- The team captain will pay the full registration fee for the relay and is responsible for collecting payment from team members outside of RunSignUp.
- Once the captain is registered and the team is set up the Captain can let their friends know the team is set up and that they can join the team.
- For the remaining members, they will register for the Marathon Relay and will need to join the team/division that the Captain set up when registering.
- Each team is allowed up to 5 participants. Once 5 members have registered the team will be set and you will not be allowed to add any members unless you remove a member first.
