How do I start a relay team and add teammates?

  1. The Team Captain registers first and creates the team during registration.

  2. The Captain pays the full team entry fee and is responsible for collecting money from teammates separately.

  3. Once the team is set up, the Captain shares the team name with their teammates.

  4. Teammates register for the Marathon Relay and select the team during registration.

  5. Each team is limited to 5 members. Once 5 runners are signed up, the team is full.


What’s the last day to register online?

  • Relay: Registration closes Thursday, June 5, 2024 at 11 AM (PST) or when we hit our 275-team cap—whichever comes first. Register early—this race sells out every year!

  • 8K: Online registration stays open until 7:00 AM on Sunday, June 8 or when we sellout -whichever comes first


Can I register on race day?

  • 8K: Yes! On-site registration is $65. We accept Venmo, Zelle, or cash only.

  • Relay: No same-day registration is available.


Can I register a team during packet pick-up?

No. Team registration must be completed online before packet pick-up.


Can I buy an extra t-shirt?

Yes! You can:

  • Buy one at the event weekend (check the sales booth), or

  • Email us at gptrailrelay@gmail.com after the event.


Are the races chip-timed?

Yes! The relay uses a chip attached to the team baton.


What if I win an award but can’t stay to receive it?

Email us at gptrailrelay@gmail.com. We can mail your award—just cover the shipping cost.


When and where is packet pick-up?

  • Friday, June 6: 3 PM – 6 PM

  • Saturday, June 7: 11 AM – 4 PM

  • Location: Fleet Feet Burbank
    1516 Magnolia Blvd, Burbank, CA 91506

  • Each team will receive one packet with bibs, shirts, and goodies.


Can I pick up my packet on race day?

Yes—but we strongly recommend picking up your packet in advance. If you must do it on race day, arrive at 6:00 AM to avoid long lines. Plan to pick up your team packet at least 30 minutes before your race starts.


Who can pick up the team packet?

Only a registered team member can pick it up (preferably the Captain).
Please bring a photo ID. No ID = No packet.
If your group has multiple teams, one runner can pick up for all.


What address should I use for the start/finish line?

There is no exact address, but the closest is:
4730 Crystal Springs Dr, Los Angeles, CA 90027
Look for event signage directing you to the site.


Will there be refreshments at the finish line?

Yes! All registered participants will receive refreshments. (Don’t lose your bib—it’s your pass.)


Can I barbecue at the venue?

No. Barbecuing is not allowed at Park Centre.
We will have food available from on-site food trucks.
